It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when my floral journey started, but since a small child I have continuously used nature as a decorative material. For example, growing up, we would always decorate our Christmas trees with natural materials such as holly leaves and berries as well as pine cones. Flowers are more of a way of life to me than a profession and this love continues to drive my business ideas and creative design forward.
My studio is based in Newport, a picturesque town in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park. From my studio, I have supplied flowers for weddings and bespoke bouquets throughout Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the surrounding areas.
After working for four years with several different florists, I launched Flowers by Annabel at the start of 2017. Since then, I have catered for over 100 weddings in Wales and beyond, as well as providing bespoke bouquets on request and running Christmas wreath workshops at selected venues in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
My Style
My floral designs are always of the highest quality, and are full of romance, love and care. Using the freshest and best quality seasonal flowers and a variety of textures and colours, my designs reflect the natural world and the time of the year. Surrounded by the majesty of the Pembrokeshire coastline every day, it’s difficult not to be influenced by its natural beauty, and this is something I attempt to incorporate into my arrangements each and every time.
I take pride in knowing where my flowers come from and I am passionate about working with British blooms and sustainable flowers. In a world in which natural life and the environment are under threat like never before, I am always very conscious in using the most sustainable materials I can which have the least impact on the local environment.
